The potential for a much bigger audience is the primary benefit. Poetry, mostly, requires readers; the internet has provided a steady supply of readers, especially readers of English. Social media is, to me, the next level of evolution on the internet. There are some who would say that there are no drawbacks to this exposure, but I have found that while social media is a great resource for introducing a new poem or a new poet, it is not a great way to sell books (at least I haven't found so). But on the other side of the coin, I might not have found Biola or many of the other many talented writers I now call friends. So, I have mixed feelings about the value of S. M.

I hope that answers your question.Raindoghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13141721256665635728noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8969790194910335535.post-65403209676384957242011-07-03T22:47:06.119+01:002011-07-03T22:47:06.119+01:00RD. that is an interesting question. It is sad about how poetry has gone in our society. I'm glad there are people like him who are still passionate about this powerful form of expression.

RD, has the entrance of social media had any impact or influence on the dissemination of poetry?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12554740620548880646noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8969790194910335535.post-26535825391959611942011-07-03T21:24:04.274+01:002011-07-03T21:24:04.274+01:00Thanks for posting this Biola! Thanks for posting this Biola!Raindoghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13141721256665635728noreply@blogger.com
